Was Jesus a martyr...?

This question has been in my mind for a while. I thought why not ask everyone that reads this and get their opinion. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer. Nor do I think that this question condems anyone to he!!. It's just a question, and all I ask for is opinions. Seeing as you know what the defintion of the word martyr, look it up there are 3 possibilities in the Webster dictionary.
