What on earth would posses movie makers to make a sequel of a crappy "holiday" movie?

i don't understand why they feel the need to make a "squeekel" to Alvin and the Chipmunks. it doesn't make sense the first one was unbelievably cliched. oh look they can sing oh look they become spoiled rotten and no one likes them oh look the big successful record company is evil because they want to make money hey lets give up our multi million dollar singing gig and and spend time with our "dad" a human. hmmm also when did child movies lose their innocence? in the theatrical trailer they sing Right Round by flo rida a song about strippers hmmm?, the chippetes sing "All the Single Ladies" idk about this song but it doesn't seem very kid friendly and at the end of the trailer they play "Dammit" by Blink-182 which is clearly the most kid friendly song in the world. i would not ever let my children see this movie ever what kind of parent lets their 3 plus year olds see this its absurd. any one else agree also some input from parents who will be letting their children see this crappy movie thanks.
