Can I use rechargeable battery instead of AAA alkaline for my creative zen nano plus 1 gb mp3 player ?

I intend to buy a Creative Zen Nano Plus 1 GB MP3 player, which uses 1 AAA alkaline battery. Instead of buying a new battery every time, can I use one rechargeable battery of the same size ??
