Yeah, that will help vent for a minute or two. Since your own family fails to see the red flag try and use the phone to some other resource to get help until you are able to get up and do it yourself. Your family doesn't offer or probably are so inept won't ever think of anyone but themselves. Phone calls from them don't mention seeking other help. That way you proved they are useless in a pinch.
