What do physicists do in real life work?

Physicists do research, experiment and design. They work with various types of equipment, things like meters, lasers, telescopes, cyclotrons, wind tunnels. Then based on observations and ysis, they try to formulate laws that describe the forces of nature such as gravity and electromagnetism. They will try to find ways to apply the physical laws and theories to problems in electronics, optics, acoustics, electrical equipment, materials, and communications. They also do research and designing in aerospace technology, nuclear power, or medical instruments. There are physicists working in biophysics, geophysics, meteorology, oceanography and seismology. Some are physics professors, and some write books.
