Questions about Papillions?

I returned an email on a ad for a papillion. I love the breed and have researched them alot BUT I don't know if they are good with bigger dogs. I have a American Eskimo Mix, he is 14lbs (tall and long but skinny). He gets rough sometimes playing with other dogs but not all the time......I know that alot of Paps are like big dogs in little dog bodies but I don't know anyone that has one that has a bigger dog also? Am I asking for trouble...Obviously I am responsible pet owner and I would reward for correct play but I don't want to get this Pap and something happen and he gets hurt! I would feel horrible. Any advice would help!
